Before I tell you about me, let me share a new website with you that I joined recently and I just love. It's very similar to HubPages but has less restrictions on your writing. 

It's called Wizzley.com.  It's free to sign up and post your pages.  I got immediate response from my first page and it's been wonderful ever since so check it out.

I began writing here on hub pages in 2008 while I was looking for ways to earn money on the Internet.  What I found when I got here was a community that was very accepting, welcoming and responsive to what I had to say.  I am so grateful to all of you who were there for me in the beginning for that.  This can be a very scary endeavor for those of us who have never published anything before which it was for me.   

After a few years of being part of this great community, I now realize that I have only scratched the surface in writing about the things I truly believe in my life.  My interest in making a living online has caused me to focus more on promoting products than just writing because I like to write.

But a man's got to feed his family, right?  So why does HubPages keep taking my hubs down?  It's really starting to piss me off!

Look, I didn't start writing on HubPages for the fun of it.  In fact, writing and publishing my first Hub was one of the scariest things I've ever done.  But now they're telling me I can't write about the things that made me come here in the first place.  It's all a bit much in my opinion so I won't be spending much more time here I'm afraid.

On the bright side, I can tell you about everything I want you to know right here and now.  So read on if you like and get to know me a little better.  I'll tell you about my passions, my business and my dreams for the future.

The first thing you should know about me is that I strongly believe in two things, God and family.  They are the pillars my life is built on.  I don’t ever wish to debate my belief in God so please don’t challenge me.  I know there are many people in the world who don’t believe, but I’m not one of them.  I won't judge you and you shouldn't judge me.

The wonderful things I have in my life I can only attribute to my upbringing with a strong belief in God.  When you believe, I mean truly believe, the types of things you are taught help form your personality and help you understand the difference between right and wrong.  I’m not talking learning about Hell and damnation; I’m talking about learning love and forgiveness, honestly and sincerity.  Because that is what God has taught me.

In 1979, I met the love of my life.  Today this seems to be quite the novelty since at the time we were only 14 years old.  (you can do the math but it’s a long time ago)  Sure, we’ve had our problems, but our mutual faith and belief in God and the promise we made to him on the day we were married has given us the security of knowing that neither one of us will ever ask the other for a divorce no matter what life brings us.  We know we will be together until the day one of us dies and are comforted by that fact so much that we know we can talk about anything without fear of the other leaving.

With the many blessings I have in my life, including my two beautiful children, I have realized that I need to be truly thankful every day of my life and so I am.  But I also realize that I need to do more than worry about my own life, I need to help others so they may be grateful for their blessings as well.  So I have set a goal or a challenge to myself to find a way to help as many people in the world as I possibly can.  I’m not quite sure how I will accomplish this but I do know that I need to make an effort or I will help nobody.  When I’m dead and gone I want to be remembered as someone who truly cared and made a difference in people’s lives, not someone who made a lot of money and gave a portion to a bunch of charities.

My business life contains a lot of proven systems that you need to work for a while before you see results.  Had I understood this concept early on I would probably be making more money online than I am today but we all have to learn somehow.

After I started to understand the importance of promoting products that actually help people, I began to focus on trying to help people lose weight and become more fit.  I stumbled across this website by a man named Jon Benson and he absolutely blew me away.  His knowledge and passion for helping people along with his own personal struggle for better health, was enough for me to want to learn more about him.  My research led me to nothing but positive feedback about this man so I decided to create a website to honor this admirable person. I created Lose Weight With Jon a couple of years ago and although I don't really get a lot of traffic to it, I'm proud to say that I have helped a few people get their lives back on track by providing Jon's products and services they might not have seen otherwise.

My goals in life at this point are quite different than they were about four years ago.  After having successfully gotten one child through college, I have another who is just about ready to start.  I would love for my wife to be able to stop working if she wants to and I believe I have what it takes to become very wealthy working on the Internet full time.

 For now though, I will continue writing on this wonderful site and others such as Squidoo and Ezine Articles, Wizzley and many others.  Please look for me and let me know if you find me on any of those. It may seem that I don't have much of a life besides writing on the internet but my feeling is "I'll sleep when I die, until then I want to be awake, alive and helping others!"
